PowSOLO Awards

Colección SOLO and Powland Network Powcademy, an Amsterdam-based collective dedicated to promoting sound art, created the PowSOLO Awards in 2020 to recognise the best works in this artistic discipline.

The awards were launched with the aim of acknowledging and supporting the best international sound artworks through a first prize and three runners-up. The first prize, ‘Best Sound Art’, receives €10,000 and the opportunity to exhibit the artwork at Espacio SOLO, the museum in Puerta de Alcalá (Madrid) which houses Colección SOLO. The jury also selects winners in the categories of ‘Invention of the Year’, ‘Most Viral Work’ and ‘Discovery of the Year,’ each receiving  €1,000 prize money.

Award winners are selected from among the participating entries by an international jury of professionals and experts from different fields in contemporary arts.
