Josefsohn was a highly influential photographer who significantly shaped the visual aesthetics of West Germany. Since 1995 he worked as a freelance photographer, capturing images that perfectly encapsulate the outlandish, punk, and absurd generation to which he belonged. He initially gained acclaim through a series of monochrome portraits of young people, commissioned for an MTV initiative. In addition to his photographic endeavors, Josefsohn also ventured into filmmaking.
