“This is my inspiration: failed and abandoned form,” says Polish artist, Daniel Maczynski. In his bold, imagined universes, human figures morph into swirls of colour or abstract shapes, landscape and portraiture merge, and unfeeling, robotic forms lend an air of menace.

Maczynski graduated in Fine Arts from Jan Dlugosz University, Czestochowa. Drawing on the likes of Bacon or Dali, this emerging artist takes his subjects through profound processes of change, melting, reworking or geometrising the human figure.

His work has been exhibited in Warsaw, where his painting Corporate Babble set a new record at the 22nd Auction of Young Art in 2012. Maczynski has also appeared in Hi Fructose and was selected for Invest in Art Part II (2014) by the LA-based online gallery, Saatchi Art.
