Through the mixture of different pop culture elements and esoteric references Ken Sortais builds a rich and mysterious world which invites viewers to immerse themselves in the raw emotions and energy conveyed in each piece.

His sculptures often evoke a sense of playfulness, with an interplay of shapes and volumes that challenge traditional notions of form and space. He is particularly interested in how color relates to form and texture. In his sculpture it is very common to find solid materials that seem to be inflating, as if they were about to explode.

Born in Paris, France in 1987, Sortais developed a passion for art at a young age and began expressing himself through drawing and painting. His early encounters with the vibrant street art scene of Paris influenced his artistic style, which later evolved into a unique fusion of abstract and figurative forms. He graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, the distinguished National School of Fine Arts in Paris in 2010.

Sortais has participated in solo exhibitions in Paris, London, Lyon, and Barcelona, and in group exhibitions in Paris, London, Moscow, Bruxelles, Berlin, including Taipei Dangdai Art Fair.
