Taylor Anton-White, a contemporary abstract artist from San Diego, had an unusual start to his career. Before he studied studio art in the University of Mary Washington, he had a nine year career as a Marine in the U.S. military where he first started developing his sense for improvisation, for finding the familiar in spontaneity. Known as a multidisciplinary artist, White creates images referencing a familiar “mania” within the western home.
He often mixes many different materials in his works, such as, spray paint, plastics, charcoal, spiral binding showcasing the tension within inanimate objects. White has been showcased in solo and group exhibitions worldwide, most notably in Berlin, Seoul, Brussels, Brisbane, and New York City. He has also had residencies in Cycamore Artist Residencies (Brooklyn) and Espositivo 7B (Madrid).
