After Hong Kong in May and Basel in June, we’ve rounded off the Art Basel year with a hugely successful visit to this month’s Miami show. In a week when the sunshine city becomes a focus point for the global art scene, Colección SOLO took the opportunity to attend not only Art Basel but also a whole range of other events including the Art Miami 25th Anniversary, Scope, Pulse, Untitled and Aqua.
Over the whole week, Miami lives and breathes contemporary art, visitors’ energy and enthusiasm blending with the artworks themselves to create a permanent buzz of excitement and creativity. The perfect environment in which to develop new links with artists, galleries and institutions.
As a direct result of our visit, a number of exciting new purchases will be joining Colección SOLO. Fresh talents such as photographer Joel Kuntz enter our growing ranks of featured artists, and we’re delighted to have acquired pieces by the Clayton Brothers and Ryan Heshka. All in all, a marvellous end to the 2014 collecting calendar!
